Committees


Advisory Board

The Advisory Board to comprised of leading industry professionals that are responsible for advising and guiding the program to keep the curriculum current and relevant to industry standards and prevalent issues, in turn making graduating students more marketable. Furthermore, the Advisory Board serves to increase industry contacts to open internship, job and funding opportunities for the ESG program and its students.

Steering Committee

The Steering Committee is comprised of three standing committees: the Admission and Retention Committee, the Curriculum and Assessment Committee, and the Awards and Events Committee. The Steering Committee is responsible for the overall guidance of the program and approval of proposals issued by the other committees. All committee members are faculty elected by their peers in their own colleges. This adds to the legitimacy of the committees.

Admission & Retention

The purpose of the Admission and Retention Committee is to revise student admission standards and application criteria as necessary, screen and approve admission applications, monitor student's progress in the program, and request a review of the student's file if warranted.

Curriculum & Assessment Committee


The Curriculum Committee's purpose is to create, revise and terminate specializations as necessary as well as ENVR courses, identify new core courses, and set up courses for both the Stillwater and Tulsa campuses.

Awards & Events Committee

 

The Awards Committee establishes criteria for awards such as the lectureship, sustainability, faculty research and teaching, alumni, and staff.
